Frequently Asked Questions
If I participate in recruitment, am I obligated to join the sorority?
Although we do encourage all PNMs to join Kappa Gamma Delta, there is no obligation to join. The recruitment process is there for all PNMs to figure out if they feel like this will be a good fit for them.
How much of a time commitment will the sorority be?
As a pledge, there is more of a time commitment with certain pledge requirements, but most members learn how to successfully manage their time here in the sorority. Talk to active members about how they balance their tasks and if they have any tips for you!
What if I have class during a rush event?
As a pre-professional sorority, academics are one of our top priorities. We know school comes first, so with proper communication, we will be happy to fill you in on events, and encourage you to choose class first.
What does being pledge look like?
Pledges will have a set of certain requirements to complete during their pledge quarter. These include study hours, service hours, social hours, etc. We also hold a weekly chapter meeting to update on current events and anything the sorority is working on. Pledge membership lasts one entire quarter, and you will be activated once the quarter is up!
